Who we are

Jolly Heating & Cooling is run by brothers Thomas and Jason Lee, out of Richmond, BC. We install heating, cooling and hot water systems for homeowners across Metro Vancouver.

We started Jolly because too many homeowners were being handed a number and very little else — systems sized by rule of thumb, quotes that changed on installation day, and contractors who stopped answering once the cheque cleared. We wanted to run the kind of company we'd want working on our own homes.

We work in English and Chinese, so the explanation you get is a real one rather than whatever survives a language barrier. And we publish our starting prices, which almost nobody in this industry does, because you should be able to work out roughly where you stand before anyone sets foot in your home.

What makes us different

Three things we do that shape how an installation actually goes.

Proactive comfort assurance
We don’t disappear after installation. Once your system is running we follow up to make sure everything works the way it should — a phone check-in for most installations, and a return visit to the home for larger or more complex systems — so anything that needs adjusting gets caught early rather than becoming a problem.
BC's longest labour warranty
Most contractors offer one to three years of labour coverage. We include 3 years as standard and offer optional coverage up to 12 — and it transfers to the new owner if you sell your home, so the coverage adds value to the property rather than being lost.
Annual maintenance by Jolly Heating & Cooling is required to keep any labour warranty valid, whatever its term. Keep it up and every covered repair is on us.
The right system, sized right
The best equipment underperforms if it’s sized wrong for your home. We look at your home as a complete system, and for anything where sizing is critical — a heat pump especially — we run a proper heat loss calculation rather than relying on rule-of-thumb guesses. Get the sizing right and you get the comfort, efficiency and lifespan the system was built to deliver.
